The Rescued Bee
The Rescued Bee is the brand under which we sell our honey and hive products, all made with care from responsibly rehomed bees. Since launching in 2024, we’ve grown quickly and built a reputation for producing high-quality, sustainable honey and beeswax goods.
You’ll find us at farmers markets, food festivals, and events across the region, where we love meeting customers and sharing our story. We also supply a growing number of farm shops, eco stores, and hotels throughout Cornwall and beyond.
If you’re interested in stocking our products, we’d love to hear from you — please get in touch.
Pure honey
The honey our bees produce is a delicious wildflower blend, with flavours that shift naturally with the seasons. Our bees forage across a wide range of native plants including gorse, bramble, stone fruits, dandelion, plantain, and other hedgerow flowers, giving each jar a unique taste of the Cornish countryside.
Alongside our signature wildflower honey, we also produce small-batch varieties that reflect the character of a single apiary, crop, or method. These include Coastal Honey, Ivy Honey, Honey with Comb, and Chilli-Infused Honey—each one offering something a little different.
After harvesting, the honey is taken to our production unit just outside St Austell, where it’s spun from the frames, gently filtered, and nothing more. Some is jarred immediately as our popular runny honey, while the rest is used to create our soft set and special small-batch varieties.
Natural Beeswax
It’s not all about the honey—we make sure nothing goes to waste. Any leftover wax from our hives is carefully cleaned and used to create a growing range of natural beeswax products.
These include moulded and hand-rolled candles, chopping board and leather balms, beeswax food wraps, and thoughtfully curated gift sets. Our product range continues to expand, but one thing remains the same: everything we sell is handmade by us using our own honey and wax.
Why choose our products?
We are passionate about bees, and every colony we care for is looked after to the highest standard – from the moment they’re removed right through to life in one of our main production apiaries. This care continues in our approach to honey production – we only ever take surplus honey, ensuring there’s always plenty left for the bees to thrive through the winter. If the bees don’t produce much, we simply don’t take any.
We’re proud to be an accredited member of Made in Cornwall, and were honoured to receive their ‘Rising Star’ award in 2024. In 2025, our runny honey was awarded Gold by Taste of the West.
Supporting and collaborating with other local businesses is a big part of what we do. We’ve worked with brilliant partners including Trencreek Chilli Company, Tea and Leaves, Wildflower Collective CIC, and The Cornish Chocolate Company—creating unique, local products that celebrate our shared values.
